Erika is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Erika has proudly called Maine home for nearly two decades. She loves Maine and most of all, loves the people of Maine. She has worked in various specialties, including Intensive Care, Cardiology, and Geriatrics. In 2022, Erika expanded into the field of medical aesthetics, where she quickly developed unmatched connections with her clients that has guided her into creating Refinery Medical Aesthetics, LLC, a practice rooted in individualized care. Her experience in Geriatrics, has allowed her to witness the effects of lifestyle on the aging process. In Aesthetics, she can connect the aging process with the common concerns clients have. It gives her a unique perspective and fills her heart to have the ability to support individuals in their journey of refining their person; physically, mentally and emotionally. Erika earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine in 2012. She later completed an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of New England, graduating in 2017. Continuing her advanced training, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Sacred Heart University in 2021. During her transition from bedside nursing to outpatient practice, Erika completed advanced medical neuromodulator training through DCCM Academy, marking the beginning of her journey into aesthetics. She lives with her wife and their three beloved fur babies: Vito Burrito, Colby Jack, and Roux. Outside of work, Erika enjoys traveling, great food, any excuse to celebrate, and making the most of Maine summers.
