All inclusive studios.
Every studio has cabinets, sinks, granite countertops, dimmable lighting, individually zoned heating and cooling thermostat, and includes access to our professional booking software. All utilities are included.
Professionals will need to provide their own tools, towels, sanitizers, music.
The Hair Salon Studios have either Salon Italy Backwash Shampoo Units or Pibbs Sidewash Shampoo Units, depending on the size of the studio (both with tilting bowls for client comfort). All of the studios have Salon Italy Hydraulic chairs, and optional dryer chairs depending on preference. Each studio has an eye-vac professional vacuum or cabinet vacuum provided. The mirrors are LED lit, the overhead lighting is the color of natural white for optimum hair color accuracy. The styling stations are mounted on the wall, with a drawer for all of your tools with a 6 gang outlet in the station. The floors are a beautiful luxury vinyl tile for easy cleaning and added standing comfort. A free backbar program and free education is available for stylists who are interested.
The massage/aesthetic studios are in a private, separate hallway which is a quieter, softer, more peaceful atmosphere with soft lighting and acoustical wall coverings. The floors in those suites are made of cork as it is beautiful, soft and quiet.
Common Areas
There is a beverage area for clients which is included. There is plenty of free wifi for you and your clients. There are three restrooms and more available in the condo common areas. There is a photo area with different backdrops and adjustable lighting where you can photograph your clients and your work. There is a large breakroom for professionals with two stacking washers/dryers, folding area, refrigerator, sink, microwave, dishwasher, television, table, and chairs. You just provide your detergent!
Administration and Marketing
Included in your rent, we provide a software program for you to use on your phone, tablet or computer to manage your schedule and book appointments. We will also be able to see your schedule and can book new clients for you if you are interested. Online booking is also available to you if you would like to be part of that service. We have a salon phone line for clients to call the guest services provider who are interested in booking services. You and your services will be listed on our website. We use many marketing tools to market the salon for new clients, all included. We also have a group credit card processing rate in which you can become part of where you can process credit cards from your device at a competitive rate.
The salon is open from 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Thursday. 8:00am to 6:00pm on Friday and 9:00 to 4:00 on Saturday with a guest services provider to greet clients, book appointments, offer beverages, show them to their studios, and sell retail. Professionals receive a card for 24 hour access and a key to your private studio if you would like to work beyond those hours.
Salon Studio Pricing
Single Studios range from $250 to $335 per week. Double Studios range from $430 to $490 per week. Price depends on size, windows and amenities of each studio. Weekly or monthly rates available per individual salon agreements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I share a single studio?
Yes, two people can share a studio and each pay their portion with prior approval and salon agreements with each. If one person moves out, the other will be responsible for the full price of the studio for themselves until they find someone new to share with.
Can I sell retail?
Yes, you can sell retail from your studio. If you are a stylist and would like free back bar and incentives, you can become part of a program we have in place.
Can I work when the salon is not open?
Yes, you can work whenever you want, you will just need to greet your clients at the door and let them in. The doors are locked when the salon is not open for security reasons. We have procedures in place for working off hours regarding lights, etc.
Can one person lease a double studio?
Yes, if you are a busy stylist and want to lease a double for yourself and even have an assistant or an apprentice, that is perfectly fine.
Can I have a name for my business?
Yes, you can name your business or you can use Mint Salon Block. We also provide a link to our business cards if you would like to use our cards for your business.
Can I decorate my studio?
Yes, you can decorate your own studio. You do need to get approval before hanging anything on the walls and we can help you with that. We don’t want stickers and things hung on the windows inside or outside. With respect to everyone there we want to keep a consistent, upscale look throughout the salon.
Can I change the color of my studio walls?
Yes, you can have your walls painted a different color with approval. For a fee we will paint your studio for you.
Does it cost extra to be part of the booking system?
No, you will be included into the software program at no charge. We can also book you with new clients if you desire.
Can I have my own website?
Yes, you are welcome to have your own website and with permission, use the Mint Salon Block name. We will also add you to our website with your photo and bio and services which is included in your rent.
