Brooklyn is a licensed Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Instructor specializing in curly hair. A native Mainer, she first earned her license at Empire Beauty School in 2014, and her education has not stopped since. Eight years later, Brooklyn maintains that there’s no such thing as a hair “expert” – science is always progressing, and an ethical scientist (hair care IS a science!) must progress with it. She has received certifications in all curl and wave patterns, and her ongoing education has included courses with Innersense, Curly Hair Artistry, Deva Curl, Curly World LLC, Cut It Kinky, Simply Waves, Rezo, and many color classes tailored to low maintenance blonding. Having spent much of her life with no idea how to care for her curls, Brooklyn’s passion is to share her knowledge and skills with other curlies, and to help them feel beautiful and confident about their hair. She opened Brooklyn’s Curl Suite with the goal of providing a luxury haircare experience for curly-haired clients. Outside of work, Brooklyn enjoys spending time with her family and expanding her personal education with an American Sign Language class with the goal to become a certified interpreter to better serve her deaf clients.
